I don’t think Unions are the be all end all. And I usually vote the opposite of my Union,
I don’t agree with all the bullshit politics which are usually just filling certain people’s pockets. The difference in the quality of work and the safety on the jobs are night and day. I’m a foreman in my Union and my company tried going half non union and you get what you pay for. 🤦♂️
The first unions were workers holding their employers hostage. The workers would come in and use violent means to prevent the business from operating until their demands were met.
I know all the Union history my pops and uncles and grandfather when he was alive have told me how wild shit was back in the day. Wish I was alive back then I would have been a bull on these jobs lol. They used to set the portajohns on fire if they weren’t clean. My Uncle got fired once for holding a guy out side of a building from like 20 floors up until he apologized. He was out working on a different job the next day. 🤣
