The reason the price of Apple Vision PRO is so expensive is because Apple haven’t committed to it.

If they had committed to producing 50 million units then the price would be $995.

This is what Steve Jobs meant when he said he “bet the company” on a new product.

Do you think the Vision Pro will inevitably make other tech producers be quickly scrambling to bring out a similar product after seeing what Apple have done?

Maybe? But no, not really. I don’t see the need for AR wearables inside my home where I have many screens / furniture tech.

AR outdoors has more utility (true of wearables in general), but that’s not this product is it.

I think Google Glass was closer than this.

The only goggles I've seen used a lot have been the ones used by FPV drone flyers. That seems to have a potential crossover with military uses?
