Introducing the new Oshi Crunchy Coffee #HodlButter
About a month ago, I got to meet nostr:npub1a6zkqnuwcmjwynuw4u4xyngy9675x8dwgj87z9me4h8mdwmc2a0q8mvhjk. I’ve never been much of a coffee guy (like, at all), but I’m always down to try something new when it’s offered. I had some hodl butter on hand (shoutout to nostr:npub1htzyjm7q6540hz8emsrvdtasdvv3vrjkskclq9hl39g8336pt57smmn5yy / nostr:npub16ndruwfg7dsdhnp3w8zvqrg0r2rn3wucnttgrg5acm2lhqpkepkqncr9qr), and in the moment, we had the crazy idea to mix in some coffee grounds. It never even crossed my mind before - but as soon as we tried it, my head lit up with possibilities.
We spread it on soft-boiled eggs, and I actually really enjoyed it (sounds weird, I know). I’m always chasing pairings that live just outside the usual way of thinking, and this hit that sweet spot. He sent me home with a bag of roasted arabica grounds, and I started experimenting.
The process: while the pecans were still warm from roasting, I mixed the coffee straight in so it would melt, blend, and carry the flavor. Around the same time, nostr:npub153xmex42x4chdf757hp3q6zxagykkek7pdgwuwd074964dkyha9s82ryu8had asked me if I’d ever consider a crunchy hodl butter. So, I combined the two ideas.
Crunchy Coffee Hodl Butter was born. I really enjoy innovating with what I have at hand, and I'm quite stoked on this.
A few jars are up in the shop now.
Best way to enjoy? Straight off the spoon :)
