This morning, my oldest son and I hiked what is commonly known among hikers around here as "the most challenging trail in the state of Georgia", the George W. Disney Trail. It's a 1.5 mile out-and-back trail of what feels like an almost constant vertical climb.

George W. Disney was a confederate soldier in the Civil War, who was killed in 1864 by a stray bullet and buried where he fell. A troop of Boy Scouts discovered the grave in 1912 and marked it. Here's a picture that I took of his grave today, as well as the view from the top of the ridge.
