Disagree. Crypo is the human shield equivalent for regulators... it will hopefully get all the flack and bitcoin looks like a saint in comparison
That's not what has happened though. Bitcoin gets lumped in with all the scams and pump and dump shitcoins we know as crypto by mainstream media and politicians. nostr:npub1cmmswlckn82se7f2jeftl6ll4szlc6zzh8hrjyyfm9vm3t2afr7svqlr6f is 100% right. Crypto has slowed down Bitcoin adoption.
I have heard multi politicians, both R and D, make the distinction between bitcoin and crypto including the top cop of wall street: Gentler. I think they will blow their political momentum attacking the easy target of dog coins and such. But this was all inevitable; success grows imitators. Bitcoin will clear this hurdle and it will provide valuable market information, just like the blocksize wars.
