Today's #asknostr is what is eating the bark from these apple trees? First I thought rabbit, but the second one seemed pretty high for a bunny.

I'm going to put a guard around the trunk. Is there anything I can do to help the tree now? #comfrey poultice? 😄

I you do decide to try and save it though seaweed helps cell division put some of that on it and you can try grafting cambian from elsewhere to fill the gaps.
