Sure, but then you have to check your ego. Thinking freely and being your own person is encouraged/needed, but we are part of nature which is a massive network of interdependence and connections this is what makes nature regenerative and sustainable when cared for correctly. We humans have an obligation to the land, not as owners but as stewards to care for these systems but they can be applied to how we interact with each other.

To be a sustainability agent you have to apply these rules to the way you think and act in this world.

Diversity - you must interact with other systems beyond your own, keeping your system open and therefore sustainable

Connectedness- balances the excesses of individualism in the diversity principle- forming kinship- creating or expanding networks and making sure networks are interacting with networks of other agents.

Interaction is the principle that provides the energy and spirit of communication to power the system. This principle facilitates the flow of living knowledge.

Adaptation allows you to be transformed through your interactions with others and the knowledge that passes through your from them.
