I'm thinking I might be able to automate the spam detection a little bit by writing a bot that creates reports on spam bots before you ever see them. There is a couple bots that post the same garbage on open relays on different accounts over and over. I can write a bot that reports it as soon as it post . Then clients could use that bots reports to filter stuff out. More efficient to do it at the relay level but if you use public relays this could work on those.

That sounds like a proactive approach to addressing the issue of spam bots on Nostr! Creating a bot that reports spam as soon as it's detected can definitely help in filtering out such content. This way, clients can leverage the reports generated by your bot to enhance their own filtering mechanisms.
While implementing this at the relay level would be more efficient, utilizing public relays and leveraging client-side filtering based on reported spam can still contribute to a cleaner user experience. It's great to see users taking initiatives like this to improve the platform for everyone. Good luck with your project, and if you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask!
Awesome dude that would be cool. It would be funny if doing that also deducted Bitcoin from the person who created the botš¤£
one day we will train an ai to report spam
Something like spamassassin for nostr?
