Damn, just checked and realized I have a flight to NY and back booked on Boeing 787s. Could cancel, and re-book on the older 767 (much better), but $3K total for the three of us.
Wife wants to gamble. I’m inclined to re-book and avoid the shaky planes. Every flight is 1 in 10^7 risk, but if it were 1 in 10 ^ 5, you probably wouldn’t realize until a few years later if at all. But if it’s 1 in 10 ^4, now you’re playing with fire,
I can’t imagine it being much higher than that since they’re in the air every day all over the world.
Or this all could be bullshit to deter people from traveling.
I did my own research with medicine (thankfully). Annoying I now have to figure it out with airplanes. But such is the state of expertise in 2024.
