La palabra del dÃa #727 5/6 (I got about 30 minutes more sleep. Plus it probably would have been the same well rested. For reference I dreamt of an oven that cooked unevenly enough that I ate 1/3rd of a partly undercooked chicken breast. The history of stoves is a very interesting history involving all kinds of interesting people. Cookery books pre-WW1 had instructions like "cook until done" because between poor heat control and before ubiquitous clocks, domestic cooking was fraught without money, servants, and a big house. Even a bit fraught then. Or seasonal and traditional if you're into romanticising it and ignoring the bits either side of a (local equivalent of) bourgeoisie and prior to Escoffier. With unregulated street food. I basically wasn't bothered about the chicken breast but was interested in the convection and heat distribution of the oven. It was a contemporary dream #dreamtalk)
