I don't know what waterstones tables is, but I definitely agree. I would always go into a used bookshop and if the cover looked interesting I'd read a couple pages and see if I liked it.

Oo I think you guys have Barnes and Noble - I would go to America purely just to go to one of those. The leather bound classics are so beautiful

Im more fond of the local book shops. We have one thats multiple stories chalked to the gills full of books. So many that they can't stack them all on shelves. π
