You are. Reality doesn't match reported numbers
It's bonkers. I hate being told we're booming and feeling the opposite.
the boom in question only being because of the disgusting price gouging
It's weird because certain items are down and certain items are through the ceiling. I think I paid something like 8 bucks for a pound of ground beef the other day. It's this weird trick to disguise shockingly high cost of essentials with low price of incidentals.
my family has started just going to local farms and buying beef & lamb from the source. we split the cost, then spend all night bagging them up to freeze in deep freezer. 😭
That actually sounds like a great way to bond as a family and help build the local community. I love it.
That all night bagging and freezing could be a fun tradition. Blast some music and all hang out. Sounds like a blast. Plus meeting and building relationships with local farmers is great.
Just wait until they are 10x more
pls no :( it’s been really hard to stack sats and hodl lately, i used to be able to stack everyday, now i am at the grocery store considering selling my coins so i can afford my grocery trip.
You’re definitely not alone, it feels the same for me too.
Is it upsetting you enough to want to rally people & develop a draft to ballot to apply to law?
Damn, welcome to Nostr.
Close. You're being robbed.
i can’t imagine how it feels in a city where cost of living is expensive as well… stl is still so cheap rent/home wise
Enjoy it! Pretty much everything is expensive here anymore. Just keeping up with events, staying ahead of life and securing my kid keeps me busy these days.
