You have an illusion of Freedom. There are things that you may not want to do now, that you may in the future and you won't be able to. Then you will realize how not free you are...

sounds corny I know but freedom is inside. and it doesn't change if some psychos lock you in a cage

if freedom depends on anyone else granting it to you, then we are talking about different things

It seems far cornier to be locked in a cage, accept it and not do anything to try to get out of the cage.
