psst, those accounts that follow and unfollow you 100x are just trying to grow their follower counts

you can mute them 😂

Super annoying. I like not seeing them on Damus tbh

going to start invoicing then too 😂

I started doing this too 🤣

Indeed, iI noticed that on primal, but likely #Amethyst also save us from it.

But I don't get what's the point? What's the incentive?

They hope people notice and follow them back. Growing the following count without genuine interactions. Scammy

Everytime I login to Nostur or Primal they’re right there. Saying hi without saying hi 🤭

Oh my God but that's so stupid 😅 I got annoyed after the second time I noticed, would never follow. Ahahah

Anyway I noticed also months ago primal effectively had issues with following new people after a max number of following and it would reset to that cap. But I believe that's fixed now.

It’s so stupid. At least say hi on a post or something. Probably they do it this way because they think we can’t call them out on it. Like maybe it’s a notification bug. They’re just stupid

Anyway there are also the "GMreplyONLY" also kind of npubs.

That's another category of retardation.

Like no notes, only replies.

I know exactly what you mean. Now when I see them I unfollow immediately

We should call them the web of distrust 🤭

I have two bots trying to follow me...I mute them, report etc, how do you manage that? They send a request almost for every event I post. 🙃

I did it through amethyst and primal. Just blocked on both

did it on primal, it persist. Will try on Amethyst as well.

Was wondering if that happened to anyone else. Quite annoying

Primal apparently ignores mutes for follows.

I was wondering about this

I always thought relays were acting up.

Since I know that they do sometimes.

Primal can be finicky with this too.

But now that you mention this, it kind of gives a different perspective I didn't really consider.

Unfortunately, it's an attack vector that probably is harder to exploited by conventional social media since they would probably reach a timeout limit.

🤣 I thought it was something wrong with primal so it was notifying me more than once 🤦🏻‍♀️

I guess it takes longer for some people to understand Nostr is different.
