v6.4-beta is available on PlayStore, TestFlight and GitHub.
Are the chat group URL’s shortened as well? I see they are still quite long.
Yes! And you will also see group name before joining, and starting from 6.4.1 also group logo and welcome message.
Why is it that when I share my group link it still is the longer string?
You need to have v6.4-beta.4 version. If you created the link previously, it won't be automatically shortened - there is a button under the QR code to add a short link to it.
And the old link will continue to work. This short link is simply a reference to the container with full link, group profile and the key - see the post!
I've been using SimpleX since early 2023. And every time, I'm pleasantly surprised at how awesome the project continues to evolve. 🔥

Great to hear! One of my favorite things about SimpleX is that the developer team listens to feedback and regularly implements actually impactful, meaningful changes on a regular basis, unlike almost every other messenger (or service at all, really) out there.
