Hate speech has potency today because it is backed and effectuated by those in power. It serves as a distraction by keeping workers divided, keeping the attention away from the true oppressors. It keeps the fight against fellow workers going ad infinitum … unless

Instead of targeting and fighting those who publicize hate speech, tenants end the status quo by colluding with other tenants to strike against their landlords. As the rent strike spreads, it would have a ripple effect through other parts of society, eventually weakening and dissolving the current power structure.

At that point hate speech would no longer serve as any type of tool to anyone because those who would need such a tool would no longer be in power. Hate speech would then be rendered useless and impotent until, finally, like the current power structure, it withers away.
