It got down in the 40s last night for the first time. Winter is right around the corner.
I'm almost ready. We use only wood to heat our home so I need a lot going into the cold months.
It's all chopped by hand but I like the work after a long day in the first mines.
we burn a little over 6 cords each winter

We go through about 4. This is the first year I'm not chopping through the winter. Last year damn near killed me so I promised myself I'd be prepped this year. 😄
summer wasn't long enough, and im concerned fall will last about 20 minutes.
