I find it too dark with no option to switch it. Oddly I like a dark setup for my Dev work

Not in the settings I see. Under appearance I have a single tick box for showing connected relays
Ah, sounds like you have a cached version of the old Iris. I've been getting that a lot, for some reason it doesn't auto update. If you're on a desktop browser, you can try hard-refreshing with ctrl/cmd + r.
