⚡️🗣️ Can you make a living on Nostr? Here's my feedback:
In 101 days of activity, I received 624,193 satoshis - a huge thank you to everyone!
This represents an average of around 6,180 sats per day, or about $4.50/day, for 7 to 8 hours of daily work.
🔹 My opinion - I think it's possible to make a living from Nostr, but you have to be realistic: it's very hard to get started. Building an audience takes time, consistency and commitment.
I should also point out that my average is skewed by several major donations (notably from nostr:nprofile1qqsf03c2gsmx5ef4c9zmxvlew04gdh7u94afnknp33qvv3c94kvwxgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj73yn3f8 nostr:nprofile1qqs04yxqjhrweg0a8qfmav70kp2gxm86y97ef8ff4zf66gzjxy379tqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehhyctwvajhq6tvdshxgetkk4vdh3 nostr:nprofile1qqsg8lg8m6dhvve5ejw5dunctsj43ekza2l705xxass5ve7t4mzs63cpz4mhxue69uhkg6t5w3hjuur4vghhyetvv9uszxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wf6xzmrt9ehhyee0s639rj , to whom I extend my warmest thanks), which have greatly increased the daily average.
In reality, I'm averaging around 1,000 to 2,000 sats/day in normal times, or about $0.73 to $1.46/day, which remains modest for the moment.
But I'm still hopeful, because I feel the potential is there, especially if the ecosystem continues to develop.

It depends on what one is offering and to who I suppose.
Daily news blasts don't feel worth it to me. I don't care what's going on in the world at the moment because my life requires more of my attention so I'm not likely to zap an account like his.
At the peak of my pen content prior to Christmas I was making a few thousand sats a day but I was crafting dedicated content that appealed to the #artstr community. As a Photographer I might emulate the content that nostr:nprofile1qqs0wa4ucy38r0nel3cmv40ne0lt829pd8enacfntlxqcg5znyqa5jsprdmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumtpva5kxcmfw3ujumrfwejj7qg5waen5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyee0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfnj7g263rs creates and likely do well that way as well.
Deliver in value and know your audience. Not everyone is going to like your work but not everyone has to if you make bringing value your primary commitment.
