I might be coming around on Mastodon, too. It seems alright.

Mastodon tried censoring gab. They are not the good guys.

I too dislike the idea of blocking whole instances but at least you can run your own and federate with everyone you like - if they like.

Mastodon and Nostr seem to complement each other in that regard.

When the Developers are actively for censorship you know that project is a dead end.

They would probably frame it differently. Like they are in favour of “safe spaces” or sth.. I do prefer the Nostr way, too, but can respect different approaches to blocking/muting.
