#onlyzaps we need to create better rhetoric about how zaps can help our social usage, not turn people off with another micro transaction.

To me, zaps are a form of promotion for the site and for crypto as a whole since people who may otherwise not be able to/or want to go through an exchange or an atm can get zapped by anyone. This can be very useful and drive more interest in the platform and network as a whole.

Zaps also give social value to traditional likes. There’s no insane middleman taking a cut from them. It offers a possibility to directly benefit your content creators and whoever else you may love.

But we need to start articulating this if we want normie adoption. Zaps shouldn’t just be a dopamine rush. They should be a solution to years of data selling and mental manipulation from larger tech companies.
