I love the optimism and the memes rn, but I still come back to the same logic: if he's running a hypersonic weapons company in the USA, he has to be on the good side of current intelligence/security agencies, which is surely interconnected with the current ruling elites.
I believe he's also smart enough to understand why nostr over Twitter, and why bitcoin over Doge/ Twitter payments.
The narrative he's currently pushing doesn't match so it all feels like theatre to me.

Yeah they're definitely playing into the national security apparatus at the very least. I theorized a while ago that that was the main backer behind Trump and the Republicans right now. They genuinely want Bitcoin as a strategic alternative form of power projection, but they are not libertarians at all.
That's my concern.
On the other hand in the world we are living is still better for us, peasants, that the masters are somehow balanced, not leaning strongly to one side.
Sure none of them will bring us freedom, but we can find our spots to live more easily than in "one sided" situation under control of one ideology.
Compulsive liars, we never know what they'll come up with to try to stay there
