my cousin wrote a civil war book. donated a book to me. I haven't shamefully read it yet. I'm afraid to now. I don't know if his book has a side or whatever. I didn't know all this til very late in my life. didn't know it was a slavery thing. I thought it was two sides bitching over something.

Now what guilt am I supposed to carry?

Besides that, at the time, i believe all freed slave were paid reperations (land, clothes etc)
