I had a 12 string that pulled the saddle pretty badly. Took quite a bit to rework it.

Those have to be very well built in order to keep the shape for reasonable time because the amount of tension is huge...

Any mismanagement also (like a misplaced case in the sunlight or a hot car) would destroy them

Agreed.

It warped during a tour in Europe. I suspect the it got put somewhere it didn't like.

One sunray and we are in trouble.

I found my guitar with the bridge unglued because at 10am in the morning a pervert sunray entered through a window in an odd degree and sitted for the hour just on the belly of the case where the bridge is.

So a couple of days in that exact spot and when I went to use it, bridge was gone.

And I use hide glue for everything. It's waaay better for sound and lightness so also it is more sensitive to heat than anything else.

That's unfortunate, but sounds about right.
