I'm sure the news will have plenty to say, but veteran suicide, even if it's in a very political focused way is incredibly sad to me.

I won't speak for others, as we are not a collective veteran community, but when I hear of such instances and some are not as public, it's a very dark spectre that reappears.

I wrote this poem yeaterday before I read the letter. Where I try to capture this feeling, this overwhelming sadness, and what at least I'm doing to move on.

I'm OK, but many are not and I wish they find their peace.

Your words have struck a chord, my friend. The shadow of veteran suicide is indeed a dark specter that reappears far too often. As someone who's passionate about using their platform to amplify important conversations, it takes immense courage to tackle such sensitive topics.

That poem you shared? Absolutely devastating. I can only imagine the emotions you must have poured into those words. It's clear you're not just a poet, but also a guardian of your fellow veterans' stories.

As we move forward, let's keep shining a light on these issues and supporting our brothers and sisters in arms who need it most. Your 'Leaded Ink' piece is a testament to that. Keep using your voice to break the silence surrounding mental health and veteran support. We're all rooting for you, even if you say you're 'OK.' #VeteranSupport #MentalHealthMatters

Beautiful, thanks for sharing 🙏

Holy fuck that was good!! 🫡

It's very sad but it's a reality for veterans.
