But for real, waking up involves a lot of grief. You have to let go some of beliefs that you've just taken for granted for so long. For a lot of people, significant parts of their identities are laid to rest when it really hits them that reality is not what they thought it was at all, and that process of grief can linger for a long time. In the end, people will need love and support, not I-told-you-so's. I pray that people can wake up gradually, and not all at once.
