Making your own sauces is an essential skill that a lot of people lack. It amazes me how many people don't know how to make basic bechamel. So many weird ingredients in packaged sauce mixes, salad dressings, etc.

That's why I've started making my own buns, sauces and more. I don't teally want to spend all day in the kitchen, but there's not many choices if you want quality.

Having worked in a restaurant kitchen for a while was a blessing. I learned making things in larger amounts and having it ready for later makes life so much easier. Prep Sunday is a great habit to get into.
