It's crazy how long it takes nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakquw0j5p to process an osko.

Been sitting here for 10 minutes, checking the transaction details, checking the strike app, thinking I must have accidentally sent the money somewhere else, nope.

Just taking ages to process I hope.

Not your keys not your coins

Neither is the money in the bank.

I'm intending on using strike for selling heirloom seeds over Nostr.

As an alternative to PayPal and eBay or whatever never sold anything online before so it's all new to me.

Of course, so why use it, and strike is a trojan in BTC world you know that rigth?

Why you try a non sovereign solution for that, if there are tools avaible to do it with soveregnity?

Bitcoin started loosing sovereignity because people instead of using P2P without third parties like it was meant to be, people trade confort with freedom.

BIG mistake..

It went through.

That was at least a 30 minute wait to process an instant payment.

Not a big deal but I was freaking out thinking I accidentally sent the money somewhere else or whatever double, triple checking everything.

Ive mostly stopped using strike. I was really excited when they first operated in Zambia and enjoyed using it, but their core focus seems to be moving towards 21 captital and something over there. It is really frustrating. The promise was so high but in the end it was a flop. Im literally bacm to using paypal. 😥

The first time I used strike to pay my mortgage I got super worried because it didn’t show up on the day it was due (on Strikes end) but the bank got the money. It just showed up on strike later.

Strike is useful to pay fiat bills, and stack sats. Just remember to decide how much you are willing to possibly lose and withdraw to your own wallet. There’s always the possibility that something like FTX could happen again. Whenever I accumulate a specific amount of sats, it auto-transfers some of it to my cold storage. I leave some on for bills.

Some people diss strike because you don’t hold your own keys but until every business accepts bitcoin and all income comes as bitcoin we’ll need some sort of middleman to navigate fiat-world.
