Add English to your phone language settings if it's not there

Use fdroid version

You can click and auto and disable translations from English.

Or you can install an English keyboard. That will disable it automatically.

Or you can use the F-Droid version that does not include a translating package.

Ty!!

You can also keep translations but click in Auto and select the option to see English First. That keeps the translated version handy if you need it.

I have another problem. I have already written about it in other places. I chose a long time ago not to translate from English, but now I want to be able to translate. But I can't turn it on again. Deleting the app and installing it doesn't help me. There is a suspicion that this shutdown setting is stored somewhere by the system and is restored when the application is installed. And it doesn't matter where the new version was delivered from - from Google Market or from Github.

Do you have an English Language Package installed on your Android? That can be it.

In Android settings (I have russian insterface there) I have there a set from three languages for applications by prioroty: russian, czech, english ones (Android settings -> Common settings -> Language). I don't understand what is mean "package" - i didn't install any packages for English.

That's it then. Because English is being used in the keyboard, Amethyst assumes you speak well and don't need translations. You can try deleting it to see if the auto-translations in Amethyst come back.

To begin with, I want to clarify that I was talking about the list of interface languages ("locales" as I think there was meaned by programmers of Android), not the keyboard. I have three languages there. Now I deleted English from there, then killed Amethyst and started it again. There are no auto-translation options. For some reason, you write about the keyboard language all the time. I'm sorry, but I can't remove English from it - how will I enter at least the same passwords? And how can you judge the user's language by the keyboard language? It is necessary to judge by the localization language, and I had three of them, now two (without English). But there is still a bug.

Now I've even gone further. I still decided to also disable English (kept only Russian + Czech) in the keyboard (GBoard) and even overloaded the device. Then I launched Amethyst - the auto-translation option did not appear (I use the google-universal APK from Github). That is, I have two languages in the Android localization settings now - Russian and Czech, and in the keyboard too.

You wrote to me a long time ago about this (about the keyboard). But it seems to me that this is not the point (but the fact that the settings have been saved somewhere after the auto-translation for English is turned off and they are restored all the time even after the Amethyst application is deleted-> installed -> deleted -> installed). The fact is that I have a tablet, so the same language settings, but there is an auto-translation option enabled in Amethyst and I did not disable them (same APK file!). If you were right - it shouldn't work there either, but it works there.

I just can't replicate this bug anywhere. :(

Ok, I will try to find steps for replication and will write to you! Thanks!
