Very fitting that one of Umbridge’s first moves is getting rid of all real defense against the dark arts training.

Instead, students are only able to learn via textbook theory, because real spells are seen as too dangerous and not necessary. nostr:note1v59wr8pp0nnlwcw45w5r355le39as0qjr9xkm98cygqessncrejq2p2gc8

“Why do you need to learn how to protect/provide for yourself when the nanny state does that for you?”

Thought the same, as soon as I saw her. Woke Karen personified.

I also recently thought the 3 unforgivable curses attack the 3 most basic rights.

Imperius takes away your liberty.

Cruciatus takes away your private property.

Avada Kedavra takes away your life.

Glad I still have Nostr got banned on Twitter and I enjoy your posts 🫡

There’s a gun control metaphor in there. Don’t teach the kids real spells and they become easy to subjugate

I remember when reading and watching the movie that there were a lot of libertarian themes sprinkled throughout. Made me wonder about the writer. Same with hunger games. But then I heard a commie claiming how they had so many commie themes... granted commies are insane but just goes to show folk can read anything into anything.
