I'm more in agreement with Maajid Nawaz's take on him, in that Tommy has legitimate grievances which are being used to radicalise people and turn them against eachother. I'm friends with some prominent UK Muslims so I get to hear the story from other angles. Many of the Muslims who are influencial are all being surveiled by the state. When the October attacks broke out, they all got a visit from the police to ensure they are not radicalising the community. They actively monitor their phone calls and socials, too.

That's the nuance of it, he's not necessarily wrong, but I don't agree with his approach. Muslim 'leaders' are very aware that much of the youth are acting like a bunch of radical thugs. They blame it on their culture being infected with the same nonsense pushed into black communities. They largely don't condone the behaviours.

To me, it looks like an attempt to further divide people and pit them against Muslims, and it does seem to have Israel's fingerprints on it.

So although I think the state is trying to prevent further unrest, I still think they have sought any reason to put him away and it is not legitimate.

The Muslim thing is a side show, at least for me. I also have the luxury of not being in the UK... or British at all. It could be any group - the point is, the UK government sees people in general as a threat, and in particular it sees native British as a threat. That's why they created all the minority groups in the first place. I'm not against any particular group, and I'm okay with people moving around, but the problem is that it is being done on purpose. Muslim countries are being destabilized on purpose. Muslims should be on Tommy's side, at least in this limited issue, that the government should not be destroying their countries and then importing them by the millions like some kind of commodity. And the same is true for all western countries. The US government does it to Latin America.

Yeah, all governments see their people as a threat. I'm an immigrant in the UK, so obviously I have no problem with free movement, but I absolutely support countries preserving their cultures and identities.

As far as I'm concerned, the governments are all traitors to their people, and there appears to be one state that is facilitating this instability in both the Middle East as well as the mass migration into Western countries.

Tommy needs to turn the people against the gov, not Muslims or other people who have been brought here. If someone is stoking division between people, they are not helping the situation, because that is exactly what they want - people fighting each other.
