hypothetically, someone could derive a wallet using a passphrase from the original 24 word seed, and then store all their bitcoin in the passphrase wallet

even if the 24 word seed gets compromised, no-one can access your #bitcoin, since (in this example) both are required

and since both are required, the passphrase by itself is also useless

Presumably, the one that guessed a valid seed wouldn't even know they had guessed a valid seed then?

I.e. they'd need to guess the valid seed and passphrase together and can't hack them separately
