In a theater setting I get it but at home I have to ride the volume to hear the dialogue and then get blown out on explosions and shit.

It’s just something they setup once for Online streaming but remember All the kinds of devices it has to sync to.

So the Netflix mobile app and tv app will then same audio

Some TVs have setting for noise leveling to bring down the loud explosions etc
