Alright Nostr you’re on this walk with me because my friends bailed on me today - apparently they have 9-5’s or lives or whatever.
This is the Great Blue Heron. They do not have teeth so they swallow their prey whole. They are ambitious hunters and are often found dead, choked on their kill.
This one’s still standing so he must be a good judge of prey.

Today I learned about this species; I didn't know it before.
Beautiful specimen. We get plenty of them around here. They're wild to see flying overhead with wingspans that rival the eagles'.
