Oh god

They’ve got some torque for sure!

If they can cheat they will

So smelly they have an odometers?!

It definitely stinks.

I have owned many Teslas I and I put their reliability well-below something like Toyota or a Subaru. But they're so much more fun to drive.

Last year I rented only EVs while I was traveling. I had a chance to test out three for a few days each. My absolute favorite was the Polestar 2. That’s the only one that felt like it was actually designed to be driven.

I also had a chance to drive a Kia EV6 and a Tesla Model 3. I didn’t like either of those for different reasons, but they each had too many annoying quirks.

Also, I will never get used to a dash with a single iPad glued to the middle with all of the functions buried in menus. That’s just bad, lazy design.

Currently I only drive pre-2022 Teslas which still have the "stick" controls instead of having to do anything on the screen. Haven't tried a Polestar yet, want to check that out. Currently all the upscale Liberals in my neighborhood are in an Instagram-fueled panic and are desperately trying to get rid of their Teslas in order to conform with the anti-Elon thing, so I'm seeing a lot more electric cars of other brands. The Jaguar electric looks pretty good, that is what Waymo uses and we've used Waymo a lot around LA and it's incredible.

Also the basic problem with Teslas -- might also be other electric cars -- is if you damage it, it's super-expensive to fix anything. Like a bump on the back fender is like $3k to fix.... At least it's not as expensive as Rivians...

I think the "single ipad" thing in Teslas just makes them cheaper to build. (The other reason local Liberals are trying to get rid of their Teslas -- they are now too cheap and are no longer status symbols!).... I actually find the "big single screen" to be pretty nice, because the mapping is so good. It's just the 2022+ telas which require you to do "Forward/Reverse" switching on the screens... pretty bad...

The other thing -- the autopilot on Teslas is VERY VERY GOOD. I can easily go across LA -- fifteen miles -- on city streets, with lots of complex traffic behavior and impatient, fast drivers, and the autopilot is a MUCH safer driver than ANY human including myself.

Spare me the sales pitch, Elon! 🤣
