You are correct on both statements. Only problem is that Syncing data TO/FROM ditto don't seem to work at all right now

...interesting, when you say data, you mean like notes made in that community, or like your existing stuff like follows, mute lists etc?

All of that. The only thing that you won't be able to do easily is your uploads unless your ditto instance uses Blossom for the media storage
