They do well on the harder problems after training. You have to train them a specific way, for example in rate problems, before they have a "regimen" for the harder problems

I guess. Can't AI just construct all that for you?

In its current state, AI is not clever, just smart. It doesn't teach you to see 2/5 as 40% or vice versa, and these are the sort of smarts you need for these tests

You need a bunch of strategies to ace these tests

I need to toy around with it more. Thanks!

This is what AI does

** Problem: If 6 workers can complete a job in 4 days, how long would it take 8 workers to complete the same job?

Step 1: Find the value of one unit (in this case, the worker-days required)

- 6 workers × 4 days = 24 worker-days

Step 2: Use that value to calculate the desired quantity

- Total worker-days required = 24

- With 8 workers: 24 ÷ 8 = 3 days **

That's too long and confusing. Simply, if 6 workers take 4 days, one worker will take 24 days. So 8 workers will take 24/8 = 3 days

Where's even the need to talk about "worker-days" and wtf is that??

It's simple math

6 workers take 4 days

1 worker takes 6x or 24 days

8 workers take 1/8th or 24/8 = 3 days

I've mostly found that AI solutions are not intuitive

It's better at writing problems than solving them

Lol. No.

I guess I could've prhased it a little better.

awwwee. not your fault. my curiosity got the better of me LOL 🤣 it was my fault ha ha 🤦😅

🫡🥰

Toy with it all you want 😂

AI can't apply logic so it can't "solve" math

Buddy, you understand neither AI nor math if you think AI can "apply logic" to solve math

Lol I'm pretty good at math. I don't understand AI that well. On that one, I agree. That's why I said I'll toy around with it more😂.
