GrapheneOS is a dream for me. Have not yet been able to have one because I can't afford it. I'll someday.

Yeah an iPhone. I trust Apple more than Google and hate that there are few other choices. I want a Linux phone, GrapheneOS is the closest I can get to privacy focus on a good hardware platform (Pixel).
Why do you need another phone while you already have GrapheneOS? Just curious. What are the things that GrapheneOS can't do but the iPhone does?
I have a metric ton of tendrils in Apple and iCloud but I also have huge local infrastructure to work with so I’m slowly moving data locally and transitioning. In the past I have tried to move on a dime, and given up because I didn’t have enough local resources to support everything I want. This time will be different. If you want a primer on local hosting of stuff, reach out to me via dm and I can help you with it. Once I’ve flushed personal data from various cloud sources, the Apple stuff can go.
