So that the network doesn't have a King that reigns over the decisions made on the network like Vitalik does with Ethereum
How do you think people would react if Satoshi was ever identified?
I'd imagine it would be a big news headline but he's been gone for so long that the network would just keep chugging along like nothing ever happened.

Do you think after he was identified and the excitement wore off he’d be able to just be seen as a dev among devs? Or would he have the weird quasi celebrity status and his statements about bitcoin could sway the market?
