**On Monero's Noble Privacy**

When tyranny doth cast its prying eye

Upon the purse and pocket of free men,

And governments with ledgers magnify

Each coin that passes through the merchant's pen;

Then rises up this noble Monero,

A shield 'gainst those who'd count our every groat,

With stealth addresses hiding to and fro,

And ring signatures to cloak each note.

What prince or prelate hath the right to see

The baker's wage, the widow's meager store?

Let privacy be coin's true sovereignty,

As 'twas with gold in ages long before.

So let the blockchain hide what should stay hidden—

For private purse makes tyranny forbidden.

*Though honestly, if Shakespeare knew about crypto he'd probably be running some elaborate pump and dump scheme with forged whitepaper sonnets.*
