I think for most Germans they are just socially cowed into a position of shame and they feel it is socially inappropriate to not support everything having to do with Jews, including Israel.
But some of them might have the attitude you describe. I don't know any of those.

They say that the Holocaust memorial should be taken down, and they always minimize the bad sides of the Nazi times. I already saw some of the members saying "it was Soo nice in Hitler times", and they Support Israel.
An extra reason I believe they have to support Israel is to use it as an excuse for saying bad things against Arabs in Germany
