I'm new to this bitcoin world. Can anyone recommend a safe place to store bitcoin for a longer period of time? I guess the hardware wallet is the best choice, but which one? πŸ€”πŸ˜

This is a nice piece of hardware. But seem a bit too complicated for start.

i never used this, but it looks good too:

https://blockstream.com/jade/

Paper wallet and offline pc with a floppy disk. 🫑

BitBox02 by shiftcrypto.com or Jade by blockstream.com are good hardware coupled with easy UX. Coldcard by coinkite.com is more potent, but also more difficult to set up because no dedicated software.

Seconded. 🀝

Don't overcomplicate. First thing you need to learn is backups. Start with simple software wallet, then move forward as you learn. Never do things you don't understand.

Sure. I will do little steps at first. Thanks.

Good advice πŸ€™

Do some discovery on the #Trezor web pages - Czech manufacturer of hw wallets. They have a lot of articles on why, how and where to store your bitcoins safely.

https://trezor.io

Trezor is the first choice. For sure. πŸ˜€ thanks

I would also go with bitbox02 or jade like Volker suggested.

Or SeedSigner if you want to build one yourself with a Raspberrypi.

Right now I am not building my own node or so. I want to start a simply as possible. But I want to be safe.

Than I would suggest BitBox02, I find it a little easier than jade. Itβ€˜s on sale this weekend on their website and you can pay wit BTC or LN.

Thanks! I will have a look at it.

Hi πŸ‘‹

Trezor wallets are amazing and you also have a ton of tutorials on YT (also in Czech) how to use it πŸ”₯
