if my identity is my reputation, then why would i want anyone else besides me to be in charge of my identity? nostr puts me back in control.

That's the unspoken core issue. Many believe that you can't manage your own reputation and it needs to be left to others to manage.

No, but nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft was working on a way to transfer to a new key. It's still a bit complicated, but maybe someday we'll have an easy solution.
