funny to watch the very few dorks that actually build/understand LLMs try to gaslight the rest of humanity into believing that integrating this tech into absolutely everything and personally learning and training it is the only way humanity will succeed going forward.

I thought the same thing. I thought they were just impressive toys until I trained and tested several models on my own. We have 4 years, if we are lucky, before they are smarter than us. You don't have to use them but it will be like refusing to use the internet. It is a bit early to already be incorporating them into everything but it is not like they have to ship out new units. A simple update and your phone or browser is on the latest model.
they’re already smarter than us. Computers have perfect recall, near endless storage. Our collective iq never stood a chance. When agi comes, if it hasn’t already, it will so eclipse us in long term planning ability and goal accretion that we don’t even entertainthe idea that a couple nerds can put perfect guardrails without bugs o. his stuff.
The idea that we individually will not be able to survive without becoming programers of ai is bs. Not promoting being a laggard but his narrative is a massive marketing campaign.
Yeah I haven't heard the programmers of AI narrative. I'm not sure I would go that far but being able to use AI effectively will be a prerequisite. No different than we expect people to know how to use email.
yea, I take your point, there will absolutely be classes of people whose economic situation reflects their willingness to adopt new tech, always been thus
I think (like most tech) it is a human enhancer.
I didn’t use it optimally the first time and wrote it off.
If you put in effort the results are mind blowing.
It will give insane leverage to the top 20% of society that learns to wield it.
I use it daily. It’s fine. I hope to see some cool companies come out of it. How many years in are we? How tf do I still have to respond to emails
