Sounds pretty great, honestly.

It really was ๐Ÿซ‚ not a fan of being the damsel in distress, but realised itโ€™s not so bad letting someone have your back every once in a while - especially if swords are involved

Why not be a damsel in distress? I never understood that, but then again, I'm not a feminist. ๐Ÿ˜

Damsels in distress used to often be flat characters who are unrealistically weak, serving basically as a macguffin to motivate the hero, not as a person.

Real life ones: itโ€™s no fun to feel powerless, especially when the condition is foisted upon you by limiting social roles.

When youโ€™re actually working to the best of your abilities and still need help, itโ€™s a different feeling.

Shorter version: โ€œHe has my back, weโ€™re fighting togetherโ€ is different than โ€œI can or will do nothing at all, save meโ€
