Is it shocking to anyone else how many people can't even admit the ordinals exploit is in fact an exploit and was never intended to be a feature of Taproot? The delusion and denial is strong.

Nope, but they aren't paying the same fee structure as everyone else. On average they are paying ~4 times less than everyone else per transaction.
