This doesn't help anyone. Anyone that thinks Boomers had it easy young has never looked at a 18% mortgage rate.

Relatively speaking, it was much easier because the interest rates trended down and allowed you to refinance at lower rates. And standard of living was much higher. You also didn’t even have to finance a house, you could’ve saved up and bought it in cash.

I agree, most items in the Living category are now 10x, except average income.

Average house in the UK is 10x the average income, not 2.5x.

Plus it just isn't trueI don't think. Most Boomers had 1.6 kids or not much more and they both worked.

Yea this meme is much closer to the WWII generation.

prices are 10x what they were in 1980. rates compared to wages data it's about the same. most complaints probably coming from folks who failed to keep up with inflation.

Lifes tough when you first start out. It was for my boomer parents and im genx. It was slightly eaiser for me, but my generation, here in the UK, was sold the idea of living for the now rather than the future. But it wasn't as easy as this meme makes out.

I made my mistakes but lifes still good 👍🏻
