Awesome episode

Thanks, Cole! Really appreciate it.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself on this episode of nostr:nprofile1qqs2m82zyqlayjqw5tjuf3j9jwszwuy2a03tq24xp0tmr4nxm2jmprgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytndw46xjmnewaskcmr9wshxxmmd9uu5kxp2. Truly thoughtful guys & wonderful conversationalists. Thank you two for having me on!

Also, because I don't know what I'm doing, I'm going to just keep the conversation going here and see what happens...lol. Early in the episode Avi & QW were discussing “creating versus prompting” which mildly blew my mind as I'm just beginning down the AI rabbit hole after a couple decades working in film, TV, and media production.

...over the past 3 or 4 years I’ve struggled greatly with the word “creative” or “creator”. The fact is that from an energetic perspective, we, as humble human beings, can neither create nor destroy. All is not lost, however, for we can transmute! It's almost as if "we're all wizards, Harry"...

From an LLM perspective, this fits well with my frustration with the word "creative". Prompting and art, generally speaking, require a profound level of specificity. From a filmmaking perspective the greatest scripts, the greatest performances, & the greatest films all require mind bending levels of specificity. As Stella Adler used to say, "In your choice lies your talent"...

Aside from sounding somewhat egotistical and abjectly violating the first law of thermodynamics, to say "I'm a creative" or "I'm creative", its also just not very specific. Similar to saying "I'm a content creator"...

Ok, but what does that mean? Are you a filmmaker? A musician? A painter? A conversationlist and podcaster? Do you sell makeup on Instagram? Are you testing products for computer hardware being used in local LLMs? A comedian? A writer? An investigative journalist? A financial journalist?? A sketch comedy producer??? Do you instruct golf? Maybe you give akashic readings on TIK TOK?!!?................ *out of breath* *heavy gasping* What do you actually do!?!?! *dies*

Okay, I get it, I'm an asshole. I promise this is mostly toungue in cheek...But this explosion of technology and venues over the past 15 years has led to an entirely new lexicon. We're still sorting out how this is all going to work and what we're even doing in the first place. I do think that it's an interesting thought experiement and one that may engender a bit more humility in the face of creation itself. We're on the shoulders of giants and for that I'm grateful.

That being said, over at IndeeHub, we don't want content. We want movies. If you're a filmmaker and have movies you'd like to find a home for then please check out indeehub.studio/register

If you've made it this far and would like to explain to me in painstaking hyper specific detail why I'm an idiot I encourage you to start with a reply below!
