Replying to Vivi Nella Verita

I self-host Fediverse instances and love alt-tech. I want Nostr to kill every other platform because it's cool. Nostr will never attack normies and grow if peopel coming here only see Crypto and Zaps. This behavior really hurts alt-tech platforms, Happened to Gab and the Fediverse.

Nostr is a protocol. Apples and oranges with Gab.

All new technologies have the same “problem”. It won’t gain mass adoption because everyone isn’t already on it talking about everything.

I believe it will get there. Tomorrow? Not a chance. Eventually sure. We all have to constantly do our part as you say you’re doing.

Also what’s the alternative? Self censorship of people not to talk about Bitcoin (screw crypto I don’t follow people who talk about scams) and zaps?

People moved from the bird app to get away from doing that.

You think normies care about a platform and a protocol? Put yourselves in to the shoes of the regular joe.

You act like this is revolutionary when Mastodon has been doing this for a decade. Mastodon is more user friendly and has more features than Nostr and can't even retain Normies. What is Nostr going to do differently? Normies don't want to hear about relays and keys.

They will care when their current social media company bans them for being associated with wrong think.

1984 is my year of birth. People can build their own mastodon instance in minutes online. There are many many freepseech instances that won’t ban you . I don’t care how early it is. I want this to be better. I seen normies flee to alt-tech over and over and they hate it. Get your head out of your ass and stop being retarded
